Divisions

Sarat Exports Pvt. Ltd. (Knitting Division)
The concerned division is spread across 15,000 sq. ft. will be producing knit fabric for outer garments as well as hosiery products. 25 knitting machines have been imported to produce a gamut of fabrics ranging from single jersey, interlock and rib through to terry towel, fleece and other novelty fabrics using 4-track designs.

Sarat Exports Pvt. Ltd. (Fabric Division)
The Fabric Division operates from two factory sheds with a combined floor space of approximately 30,000 sq. ft. and employing 80 people. The division is equipped with 80 circular knitting machines producing several variations of single jersey, interlock, rib and fleece fabrics.

As an extension of the knitting facility is a separate factory floor with raising, shearing and heat setting machines from internationally reputed makers Lafer and Mario Crosta. The existing infrastructure at the facility can support a daily production of 8,000 kgs with substantial expansion initiatives currently in the works.

Sarat Exports Pvt. Ltd. (Bleaching Division)
Another expansion project currently undertaken is the Bleaching Division. Spread over 17,000 sq. ft., the factory shall be engaged in bleaching of hosiery fabric. The total bleaching capacity of the factory will be over 12,000 kgs. per day with the first phase of operations starting in early 2010.

Sarat Exports Pvt. Ltd. (Processing Division)
Making its way through the value chain, Sarat Exports also runs an in-house processing factory spread across 60,000 sq. ft. with a total workforce of 300. Sarat Exports is proud to state that the concerned facility is the first in India to import and operate Bruckner/ Erbatech’s Continuous Bleaching Range for bleaching of knit fabric. The factory also has several exhaust dyeing machines thereby expanding its operational capabilities beyond bleaching to dyeing and chemically finishing fabrics. To attain premium quality standards, the company maintains a top of the line finishing range with padding machines, wet expanders, hydro-extractors, relaxed flat dryers, compactors and calendars with precision plating by world renowned textile machinery manufacturer Heliot. The total processing capacity at this facility is 25,000 kgs. daily.

Garmenting and Dispatching Divisions (Falta SEZ)
Sarat Exports operates a total 4 of garmenting/ dispatching units, with the primary one functioning out of a Special Economic Zone located in Falta, West Bengal. The SEZ facility has 150 people working under a 35,000 sq. ft. roof and is solely dedicated to manufacturing and shipping out woven products. The other 3 units primarily manufacture knit products and are located in Kolkata city. Taking into account all the manufacturing facilities, Sarat Exports has a total garmenting capacity of 1500 units (700 woven and 800 knit) on a daily basis.
